The Challenge

Provide strategic and planning support to the Principal and leadership team in preparing for and navigating the London Area Review.  Additionally, set up and support delivery of a series of business improvement projects to simplify support services processes and increase efficiency.

What we did

Developed a bespoke approach to support the leadership team in preparing for Steering Group meetings and analysis of options emerging from the London Area Review.  Created an on-line project plan, accessible by key stakeholders, to support planning for potential merger, including support of business case development and preparation of consultation documents.

Set up a programme of business improvement projects, trained staff on project management and lean principles, and worked with project teams to deliver an agreed set of outcomes.


Helped the college strengthen the business case and plan for preferred Area Review outcome, and successfully delivered projects to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the Learner Journey from enquiry to enrolment, management of Adult Learning Support, exams, and rationalisation of reports.

Craig undertook a range of projects for Lewisham Southwark College. Initially his work was around the project management of supporting the College in preparing for Local Area Review and supporting the senior team and governors in developing a merger proposal. We were extremely pleased with the quality of Craig’s work and decided to make use of his Six Sigma skills to project manage a series of Efficiency Projects in the college reviewing a range of processes such as Enrolment, Student Loans and ALS.
Craig is a pleasure to work with and adds value to an organisation beyond the scope of designated projects through his coaching style and wide ranging expertise. He is highly organised and, essentially, a completer-finisher! I have no hesitation in recommending him.
