The Challenge

Current operating model was restricting growth and effective implementation of the University’s Widening Participation programme, in particular space strategy, allocation of funding, knowledge exchange strategy, and approach to international development.

What we did

Our approach included a design workshop with University leadership to review current planning assumptions, identify potential opportunities and risks, followed up with a combination of desk-based research and stakeholder interviews to fully understand constraints and the University’s value proposition.

Result

Updated commercial strategy and Executive sponsored action plan designed to capitalise on opportunities arising from the government’s industrial strategy, availability of funding, and emerging international and corporate social responsibility (CSR) opportunities, while strengthening the University’s work in widening participation.

Craig has worked with us on two strategic projects so far and he is a pleasure to work with – professional, enthusiastic, efficient, and focussed.  His committed approach enabled us to communicate and shape a series of complex scenarios.  I look forward to working further with you in future!
